Why we won’t be sleeping in a caravan this weekend

So this week is Badminton Horse Trials – we were there last year but we’re not this year. Same goes for many of the events we were at last year. We LOVED doing the shows but they are a massive and huge commitment – when you see a stand, what you don’t see is the behind the scenes. It takes weeks of studio time to prep and organise the stock, usually a day to pack the van and then up to 2 days to set it up – usually by roping in friends/family/literally anyone who is the tiniest bit willing to assist. The days are LONG – usually 8am – 6.30pm and that’s after a dodgy nights sleep in a tent or caravan. You are away from family, away from the day to day running of the business and by the end you are so tired you feel like you may never be able to smile or stand on two legs again.

This year we are concentrating on bespoke commissions, commercial illustrations and selling our lovely print and product range through our website and stockists.
