Introduction to Illustration workshops – a BIG hit!

I did two workshops back in 2017 at Snow Designs in Stamford, so it was a no-brainer to host our very own now we have our new studios! I have very little experience in teaching so it’s always a little nerve-wracking faced with 10 expectant faces but I kept my cool (in the 30-degree heat!!) and my word, the results were a million times better than I could ever have hoped. Each and every lady (where are the creative men around here, hey?!) put their all into it and did a fantastic job with the three set photos – Normanton Church, Burghley House and Barn Hill, Stamford. The two days were so successful that i’ve now posted another date, 7th August – tickets now available! TICKETS

The feedback was fantastic, here is what some of them had to say, and of course, their lovely illustrations!

NICOLE:

“I loved the workshop. I haven’t drawn “properly” since i did A level art so that’s a long time ago ! I was really inspired by the result I achieved so quickly. Katie teaches in a simple and easy to understand way and encourages you not to be too perfect. I have never drawn without pencilling in first ever but I did and embraced my mistakes. I can do highly recommend this class. I want to do it all over again”

ANNA:

“What Katie says is true! Whatever your level of skill – from total total novice to lapsed artist – you can pick up a fineliner, follow Katie’s instructions and guidance and you’re away. It is a really relaxed, fun and non-judgmental way to have a go and I GUARANTEE you’ll produce a piece that is way better than you thought you could do.
Just Do It!”
